It’s official! 恋人は同居人 will be getting an Android/iOS port!
Like with some previous released Android/iOS ported games, including 天下統一★恋の乱 and ルームシェア★素顔のカレ, 恋人は同居人 is a game that has been cancelled on its original platform. Whether or not the port means that the story will be continued from where it left off in the original is unknown, especially since it looks like the GREE version had been cancelled for some time before getting shut down with others in November, but I’m having hopes that the “has returned” part makes it so! I DEMAND WEDDINGS!
The obtainable cast include (don’t quote me on the character descriptions):
- Saionji Masaki (17), intellectual x cool, Masaya’s twin (CV: Sakurai Takahiro)
- Saionji Masaya (17), oresama tsundere, Masaki’s twin (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki)
- Saionji Yuji (20), refreshing prince, pure and friendly (CV: Kakihara Tetsuya)
- Saionji Shun (14), vain but can’t be left alone (so far hasn’t been advertised as having a route yet)
- Saionji Shuichi (24), mature x tolerant (CV: Hatano Wataru)
- Midou Kaname (24), a perfect butler, butler of the Saionji family (CV: Namikawa Daisuke)
If I am correct, then unlike previous releases, the second character will be skipped and the first and third characters will be available upon release, which will be Masaki and Yuji. Masaya’s Main Story will be released in mid January.
You hear that? That’s the sound of mE SCREAMING! Of all the Voltage games I’ve been waiting to play, this was the one I have been waiting the longest for (since before 2012)! But of course, it’s only available through Japanese feature phones, and having looked up how to get/use them (and failed), it was too much of a hassle (must be resident of Japan, monthly pricing, etc…. basically you had to have a contact in Japan to buy and pay for the phone for you or something), so I just had to sit and hope that we’d get a port of it. AND HALLELUJAH! One step closer to playing it in English!
The art style is different, though. I never found out who the illustrator was, though it’s possible that it’s the same illustrator now and they’ve changed their art style since the cancellation of the game. Either way, I have the fanbook to stare at the old pretty art and, hopefully, the game’s new art doesn’t disappoint!
It is set to be released on or around January 14th.

Update 1/7/15: Very late update, but anyways! It looks like the game will have voices! The same cast from the drama CD’s will be returning to play their respective roles in the game (except for Shun). I’ve added them to the descriptions above. I’m not exactly sure how to get to the voices just yet, though, as it looks like there might be conditions to get to it. I’ll update again once I can get that confirmed.
Update 1/8/15: About the voices, it looks like they are only very partially voiced. It doesn’t look like they have more than a couple of lines, and they are only available in the Epilogues. According to Riichany, who has provided a bit more translations (which I have used to edit the descriptions above), the voices will only be available for a limited time.

So they change the art style for this game, I’m not complaining tho since the newer art style is more “clean” to me lol, and it’s just me, but the story is similar as brother’s conflict ? (basically the heroine’s mother / father remarried and the heroine suddenly surrounded by a lot of step brothers).
Btw, have you following 天下統一 app version ? It seems they didn’t have any new plan anymore ever since they’re released the remaining sub characters main stories T___T, I can’t even find anything on the next release tab and to think this game still have a lot of spin off makes me sad orz. And I’m still refuse to play the love ballad since they change ieyasu and saizo’s personality, they both became a jerk that insulting the heroine like almost every chapter ಠ_ಠ

December 30, 2014 at 6:26 pmYeah I also worried the redrawn CG will be weird or not orz, I’m not really complaining if the story is pretty good since at least for me, if the story is pretty good even the art’s is lacking I can tolerate it, heck I even take good story over good art any day lol. Hmm, me and my friend start to speculating that voltage currently porting their old game since they’re probably still working on newer titles, especially since the award thing just finished like few months ago ? they probably still need to sort the story and art lol. I always looking forward for any of their old games ! I’m sorry to said but they’re more better than their newer games especially on character’s development and storyline ^^; as for survey, the last one I see is they’re planning a game which centered on chasing older men ?

And apparently voltage decide to make akuma to koisuru sns version, the artwork itself has been revamped (I prefer the old one to be honest…the newer one it's way too shojou-ish lol). I see, so you barely play bmp : party ? I know that juggling both mfw : party and bmp : party is too tedious…and what ?? Hm, that sounds possible. Yeah, their older games always tend to have better written stories! Was that the last survey? The last one I remember in English was the one where they asked about more “adult” romance stuff. I didn’t like most of the selections on there. Most were all more of “what kind of relationship do you would you like to play” instead of “what kind of romance/story would you like to play”. Like literally, some of the choices were: “You can’t fall in love with each other, and your love grows from physical contact”, “A romance between a heroine who’s a beginner in love and the hot guy who instructs her”, “A physical experience where she doesn’t know what to do, but he gently leads her and sweetly initiates her”, “Romance where a virgin around 30 becomes a woman and has her first adult experiences”, etc. I’d rather they asked more about story than what kind of relationship! The only one in that entire survey that I liked was the one about the heroine finding that her childhood friend became famous. All the other ones were either “bleh” or “do not want”. = =

January 1, 2015 at 7:54 pmThe “weirdest” artwork that I’ve seen for otome games is the vitamin series for DS, I never really like the artwork for that game, even though lot of people really likes it o___o. Hmm, If I’m not mistaken, It’s asking about the title for the game…the theme itself more focused on 30+ relationship ^^; I seem remember that survey, since people in tumblr make a fuss over the choice…which also bothered me too, since it’s more like 18+ otome games where the guy is very aggressive orz. I know that the current trend on otome games in Japan are either yandere type or do-s type ^^;
I really hope they still port it to english version…since they still have enough stories for few months…but I’m not really expecting orz. LOL I just saw your post, and yeah more I see it, the artwork is really similar to the love duet :o unfortunately I didn’t like the avatar system…I always thought the bmp for gree had the best avatar ^^; I see one of my friend has been considering to quit both mfw and bmp party…she said she can’t handle all the events, not to mention the translation that pretty rough for voltage’s standard :|, I also seeing one of the cg where Wilfred said “You’re one hell of a princess” which didn’t make a sense…I prefer if he said “you’re one of the best princess” since it’s more make sense and didn’t sound forced =/, and if voltage indeed think that using a lot of swearing will attracting people, I don’t think it’s working, since people has been complaining about the translation and the typo orz.

I love Be My Princess, My Forged Wedding, and heck even Celebrity Darling for GREE because of that. The relationships and bonds in them are more than physical attraction. When physical attraction becomes the basis, I almost immediately lose interest. Ack, I haven’t kept up with the Japanese trend, but if yandere and do-s types are still in trend, then it’s been going on for a while already, right? Now that I think about it, I remember seeing scans from two recent otome games (I think it was from B’s Log) where the promotional art was of a very yandere-like character (typically with his hands around the heroine’s neck like he’s goig to strangle her, and the illustration gives off a menacing vibe)….
I NEED TENKA IN ENGLISH I’VE WAITED SO LONG /SOBS. It’s kind of like they just painted over the original? Something like that. Though I admit, the body proportions were fixed in LD, or at least they don’t look as weird as they originally were. Ahaha! I like the MFW avatar~ She looks so cute! I’m still getting used to LT’s avatar, but I don’t think it’s bad. The one for Heaven’s Kiss… yeah, that one looks kind of weird…. I think it’s the eyes and posture? Ugh, yeah. Unless I won that Publisher’s Clearing House thing where we get like $10k a week for life, I don’t see how I can keep up with the games (basically, I’d need to have a lot of spare money to spend, and enough money that I can spend as much time as needed, but who is ever lucky enough for that??? And even then, I don’t think I’d be able to spend that much on them….). Ugh, I saw that, too! It sounded really off coming from Wilfred! The original says “「頼もしいプリンセスだな」”, so ???? I love the artwork for that game, since it’s reminds me of most shounen manga artwork style lol. If I’m not mistaken, I found the survey on koi cafe…but then again I’m not really sure since I barely filling those surveys anymore. Yeah, but mostly are complaining about the heroine, they predicted the heroine will be the “submissive” type who bend over the guy and most of the comments are pretty rude orz.
True that ! I always enjoyed stories (whether it’s BL or otome) that focused on their relationship, I never enjoyed any stories that are only focused on sex since it’s pretty shallow to me, I didn’t mind R-18 stories as long there’s still some plot instead full blown sex scene from beginning to end =/. It’s remind me whenever I’m buying doujinshi (a unofficial fanbook of anime, manga or game) I prefer to buy all age doujinshi instead the r-18 unless it’s from my favorite author lmao. Add the comic book style that the game uses, and I’m hooked! Ah, I see. I can agree with that. Though I admit that I didn’t take it as the heroine being submissive as much as the guy having too much control. I’m all for the heroine learning even if it’s from a guy, but it becomes a problem for me if it’s the kind of situation where he’s got her wrapped around his finger and she can’t say no. There’s too much of a possessive vibe to it.
Same. If the bond between them seems shallow, I can’t like it. I’ve only heard of very few R18 games that people say have amazing stories. I wish I would play them, but ugh they’re R18 so yeah. (Like Koezaru wa Akai Hana, though there’s a non-R18 PSP port but still can’t play it because Japanese OTL). The story always has to be the best part for me (which is why I can love Wilfred’s route in the app version so much without him being my favorite). Oh gosh, so do I. It amazes me that someone is able to keep up with so many games and still fullcomp it all. Same! I COULD OWN THE MISSING FANBOOKS IN MY COLLECTION. AND FIGURINES. AND STUFF. I have a lot of trouble to invest in any online game because they could be shut down. I don’t mind spending only a few bucks, but it starts to get ridiculous after that. Yeah, all the swearing is an unpleasant surprise specifically because there wasn’t any in the original. I know people who had played Hakuouki in Japanese were surprised to see the f-word being used in the English release. And I remember a lot of people were complaining about the use of “bark of laughter” because the translation was off, and it was even used at one point when the original never mentioned anyone laughing. Obviously people who didn’t play or pay attention the Japanese version wouldn’t be as bothered by it as people who did, and I think it’s the same for Be My Princess: PARTY.

Add the comic book style that the game uses, and I’m hooked! Ah, I see. I can agree with that. Though I admit that I didn’t take it as the heroine being submissive as much as the guy having too much control. I’m all for the heroine learning even if it’s from a guy, but it becomes a problem for me if it’s the kind of situation where he’s got her wrapped around his finger and she can’t say no. There’s too much of a possessive vibe to it.
Same. If the bond between them seems shallow, I can’t like it. I’ve only heard of very few R18 games that people say have amazing stories. I wish I would play them, but ugh they’re R18 so yeah. (Like Koezaru wa Akai Hana, though there’s a non-R18 PSP port but still can’t play it because Japanese OTL). The story always has to be the best part for me (which is why I can love Wilfred’s route in the app version so much without him being my favorite). If I can’t like the story or if there is no story to like, then I’ve wasted my time and money. I gave up reading manga because of that same reason. I’ve read too many that were just… not up to my standards that I can’t even pick any up. Ugh, what I would do for another royalty game!

VNDB still says it’s TBA LOL. I’m surprised that the trend is still going though. That makes it about three years already. Not that there’s anything wrong with liking yandere characters, but there was definitely a surge in popularity.Something like that, yeah. January 4, 2015 at 6:32 pmI actually played arcana because of the arts XD, I never though I enjoyed it so much, the heroine is pretty badass too lol. Oh you like Ashe ^^, I prefer Luca (the heroine’s servant) since he pretty hilarious and it’s too oblivious he already had crush on the heroine since forever lol, I thought there’s a translation patch for arcana somewhere…or I’m mistaken it as other game ? ^^; Yeah, I didn’t like when the heroine can’t say no to the guy either =/, It’s reminds me of Eisuke’s route, the heroine didn’t have any control since he way too dominant, I actually can rant about his route for a day, but basically I can’t see why the heroine end up liking him, even on the epilogue -__-, someone even said that the heroine relationship with him can be classified as Stockholm syndrome…
Actually koezaru it’s one of the best R-18 game out there, yeah I’m not denying it that there’s still rape scene (bad end) but the relationship between the heroine and the guy is pretty well-written, and the heroine is very great. I can’t recommend any of R-18 games since most of them are didn’t leave any impression to me . I guess it’s more better to be more picky when it’s come to buying a route, I buy way too much route that really disappoint me orz, I used to buy a route from gignosystem Japan (they didn’t translate any of their games sadly) and I even can’t finish it since the story is very boring and didn’t have any development…I didn’t even know what happened to yandere’s heaven, I’m guessing the company gone bankrupt and decide to put the game on indefinite hiatus ? There’s a lot of otome games companies that already gone bankrupt even though most of them are smaller companies (unlike otomate or D3 publisher) and only making like one or two games.
LD’s heroine is officially become my favorite heroine lol. She’s way too cute that I end up liking her a lot *A*, I wish voltage can make all the heroine have eyes too ; ; Haha yeah I think is the head that makes the proportion weird xD; I can’t judge anything since it’s not out yet lol, I still don’t know whether I want to play this or not since 10 days with my devil is not my favorite game ^^;
From what I see, these people are really obsessed with the ranking, the prize or they really like the game too much lol. I know someone who already racked out like $100 just for bmp party, and I just amazed since I can buy a lot of things for $100 ^^; I also didn’t mind if I end up buying coin for $10 or $20 but I can enjoying the game, but if they force you to buy coin for every events, then I can’t enjoy it anymore. It’s reminds me of what happened to line play, basically they implemented another currency named “coin” and you can’t get coin for free, and of course all the good gacha are coin gacha only, the “jewel” currency end up getting all the plain and basic gacha…I didn’t playing the game anymore since then.
Btw, have you heard the announcement from solmare ? from what I read from tumblr, solmare are going to delete their older games (the heian love, actor love, and there’s another one but I forgot), do you think voltage are going to doing the same to their old games ? I didn’t even want to think about it since I’m still having both bmp season 1 and 2 installed on my phone even though they didn’t had any update ; ; I actually didn’t mind a small amount of swearing, it’s unattractive if the guys or the heroine swearing for like 5 seconds, it’s makes the game losing it’s charm orz.

Ah, I’ve seen a lot of people say that on fb because of that Ikemen Ranking thing. I’m kind of hesitant to play his route now….

I’m a bit surprised, though, like I liked the routes I played in SitSC and OS (one in each) more than all the routes I played in MSB. They weren’t that great, but I wasn’t really disappointed like with MSB. Gignosystem… I might have been interested in a few(?) of their games, but I can’t remember which ones…. Now I know to steer clear of them. Ah, I see. I know there was a lot of hype for it when it was announced, but I just noticed that I hadn’t heard a single thing about it since the last time I heard it was pushed back again. Ouch, that’s disappointing. I hadn’t heard of that, but somehow I’m not surprised.

My fault for having expectations, I guess.
